Meet The Founder and CEO of The Foundation

Bahijja Kasim, CEO of BIHAIF (Bright Impact for Humanity and Indigents Foundation), is a passionate lecturer at the Federal University of Lafia in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. She holds a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Clinical Psychology, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Driven by a deep passion for serving humanity, Bahijja finds joy in bringing smiles to the faces of the vulnerable in the society. As a certified counselor, she provides support and guidance to those in need, making a tangible difference in their lives. With a strong commitment to both teaching and service, Bahijja combines academic excellence with a heartfelt dedication to mental health and well-being, enriching the minds of her students and touching the lives of indigent persons with compassion and empathy.

OUR MISSION

✓To help women, especially widows, disabled people, and young business owners with a suitable amount of money to launch a viable micro and small trading.<br />✓To support youths through skill acquisition, ICT, and sport development, so that they have some sense of belonging in our society. <br />✓Reaching out to people or communities who are seriously affected by conflicts and natural disasters, such as floods, heavy rainfall, diseases, and so on.

✓Donating blood to hospital blood banks and delivering medications to clinics in remote areas. Provision of portable water in remote areas by digging wells and drilling boreholes, allowing people to access clean, high-quality water for domestic use.<br />✓Medical outreach, psychological counseling, and campaigns to raise awareness about peace, state authority, and other national mandates.

In Continuation of our Humanitarian Services, BIHAIF had the honor of visiting and distributing foo d items and construction of 3 Bedrooms/ Toilets to the less privileged at Gidan Makafai (House of the Blinds) in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. It was indeed a heartwarming experience to witness the smiles, joy and gratitude on their faces. We are committed to continuing our efforts to support those in need and make a positive impact in their lives.

Many thanks to everyone who contributed and helped to make this a reality. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can build a brighter future. Let’s continue to spread hope and compassion. Start where you are, use what you have and do what you can.
